Disability Access and ADA Compliance

San Mateo County Community College District is committed to ensuring an inclusive and equitable environment for all, where programs and services are accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. The District recognizes that successfully ensuring equal access to educational programs, employment opportunities, public events, and community services is not solely the responsibility of any one individual or department. It is a shared commitment that we, as a district, actively support and encourage. 

The District Office is available to provide training, consultation, information, and appropriate referrals for disability-related matters.

The District Office oversees efforts to ensure equitable access and full participation for individuals with disabilities in all San Mateo County Community College District programs and services. Accommodations are designed to provide equal access to the academic environment for students with disabilities. Students may connect with each college's designated unit and make requests for accommodations at any time.

A health leave of absence is designed to help students step away from school when they need to focus on their health and well-being.
