Since 1986, the San Mateo County Community College District has provided affordable short-term study abroad opportunities and a robust scholarship program to subsidize the costs associated with studying abroad for students at its three colleges — Cañada College, College of San Mateo, and Skyline College.

-Michelle, former Cañada College student, studied abroad for a semester in Italy and a global internship in Spain. She received the Gilman Scholarship and transferred to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
