College Vista Faculty Housing at College of San Mateo Wins Award
On February 26, 2008, College Vista faculty housing (located at the College of San Mateo) was awarded a coveted Gold "Best In American Living Award" (BALA). BALA distinguishes homes that exemplify design quality and superiority in the marketplace, and epitomize the Best in American Living.
Winners of this prestigious award were selected from more than 325 entries. The 2007 BALA competition’s panel of 14 judges was comprised of builders, architects, land planners, developers, design professionals and interior designers. Entries were recognized based upon their advancement of new ways to create and present housing of all kinds. They invariably redefine excellence for the residential building industry.
The BALA design competition, sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders Design Committee and Professional Builder magazine, is open to builders, architects, designers, developers, land planners and interior designers nationwide.
