Hello and welcome to my page; my name is Romelia (Romy for short) Reyes Thiele. Born in the Philippines and immigrated to the United States in 1956. I lived in the Kalihi Valley in Oahu, Hawaii for many years before I moved to Southern California.

I received my B. S. in Business Education and secondary teaching credential from Long Beach State College as it was called then. Received my M. A. in Education-Instructional Technology from San Jose State University. Prior to Cañada College, I have taught full time form many years in the secondary level and part time at Cypress College while in Southern California; also taught part time at Skyline, West Valley , Foothill and DeAnza Colleges while in the masters program.

As a business instructor, I am a continuing member to the following professional organizations for many years: Delta Pi Epsilon, California Business Education Association, and National Business Education Association.

Some of my favorite things to do in addition to teaching and learning are snow skiing, sailing, shopping and gardening. Traveling is another that I enjoy very much. I have seen much more of the Hawaiian Islands since I left. I have visited England and Holland where my husband was born and lived, France and Belgium. Since we are sailors, we enjoy bareboat sailing the Caribbean Islands-British and US Virgin Islands. We hope to bareboat the Mediterranean and the Tahitian Islands soon.
