New Assessment for Proposals

The Professional Development committee has developed a rubric for assessing long-term professional development proposals. This tool is useful not only to the committee, but also to anyone applying for funds to be able to gauge the strength of their application . Click here to look at the rubric.

Popcorn & a Movie

The Classified Council will be hosting a Popcorn ‘n a Movie event on Friday, 10/24, 12n – 2pm in room 6202.  The DVD shown features Chris Gardener, guest speaker at the CSEA Conference.  Chris si the "real life" person portrayed by Will Smith in "the Pursuit of Happynes". Bring your lunch and join us.  Popcorn, soda and water will be provided.

On Course at Skyline

This is the last month to apply for the upcoming 3 Day On Course I Workshop here at Skyline College. You can read more about the workshop and the easy application process on page two or you can contact any of the following for registration information; Jon Freedman, Melissa Komadina, Regina Pelayo, Donna Bestock or Phyllis Taylor. For more information about the whole program you can go directly to the On Course workshop web site at http://www.oncourseworkshop.com/The Basic Skills Initiative is offering this workshop to 40 faculty and staff here at Skyline this January, FREE. Attendance at one of these workshops around the country would cost you more than $900! You are encouraged to apply for enrollment early, as space is limited.

FACULTY: For conference fee and substitute cost, you may apply for Professional Development funds. Short-Term Proposals: At least 21 days prior to the project
