Foundation in your will or living trust
Give a fish to a person and he has food for a meal, each a person how to fish and he has food for a lifetime.

You can make a bigger difference than you think! Wealth is not a requirement—only planning. A planned gift often results in a contribution much larger than you ever thought possible.
Here are some ways in which you may leave a legacy for the San Mateo County Community Colleges Foundation and may recognize tax benefits in return:
- Leave a specific dollar amount or percentage of the assets in your will to the San Mateo County Community Colleges Foundation.
- Designate San Mateo County Community Colleges Foundation as beneficiary of specific assets (real estate, bonds, stocks, vehicles, etc.) in your will.
- Name San Mateo County Community Colleges Foundation as the beneficiary of an existing or new life insurance policy.
- Name San Mateo County Community Colleges Foundation as a beneficiary of your pension plan or IRA.
- Name San Mateo County Community Colleges Foundation as beneficiary of a Charitable Gift Annuity or a Remainder Trust, a life income gift which provides you with fixed or variable lifetime income.
- Remember loved ones or honor special occasions with tribute or memorial gifts.
- Make a gift to the San Mateo County Community Colleges Foundation Endowment Fund. Endowment Fund gifts are self-perpetuating because the principle remains in the fund while only the income is utilized.
Find out which of these gift opportunities works best for your personal situation, while enabling you to contribute to the continuing legacy of Cañada College, Skyline College, and College of San Mateo.
