and Site Work Repair Project
NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
CALLING FOR BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY
GIVEN that the San Mateo County Community College District of San
Mateo County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board,
hereinafter referred to as the District, will receive sealed bids
for the award of the contract for Bid No. 86440, 2003 Asphalt Pavement
and Site Work Repair Project, College of San Mateo, Canada College,
Skyline College. Each bid must conform and be responsive to the
contract documents and be submitted on a form furnished by the District
noting the Bid Number on the envelope. Bids shall be received, from
bidders who have purchased documents only, in the Department of
General Services of the San Mateo County Community College District
at 3401 CSM Drive, San Mateo, California, 94402 no later than May
13, 2003 at 1:00 PM.
The District will
NOT be a distribution point for this project. Bid Documents may
be purchased on the Peninsula Digital Imaging Website (http://www.peninsuladigital.com)
by entering the Public Plan Room, and choosing project number PB00-
Bid # 86440 named "2003 Asphalt Pavement and Site Work Repair
Project". Plans and Specifications may be purchased in full
sets only upon submission of a non-refundable fee of $25.00 to Peninsula
Digital Imaging, plus delivery charge if applicable (documents will
be available 4/25/03). For assistance, call Peninsula Digital at
650-967-1966. Plans and Specifications may be picked up from Peninsula
Digital Imaging at 599 Fairchild Drive, Mountain View, CA 94043.
Peninsula Digital will accept cash, check, or credit card as payment.
Bidding Documents need not be returned to the District.
The mandatory
pre-bid conference and job walk is scheduled for Thursday, May 1,
2003 at 9AM. Interested parties shall meet at College of San Mateo,
Bld.6 located next to parking lot #3.
Bids must be sealed
and clearly marked "BID #86440" on the envelope, and filed
with the Department of General Services of the San Mateo County
Community College District at the above address, before the time
fixed for opening the same. Each bid shall be accompanied by: (1)
security referred to in the contract documents, (2) the list of
proposed subcontractors and (3) Statement of Qualifications (SOQ).
No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after
the date set for the opening of bids.
The Contractor
and any subcontractor(s) shall pay not less than the specified prevailing
rates of wages to all workers employed by them in the execution
of the contract.
Each Bidder shall
possess at the time this contract is awarded an A Contractor's license,
pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 3300. The successful Bidder
must maintain the license and certification requirements throughout
the duration of this contract.
The Board of Trustees
of the San Mateo County Community College District reserves the
right to reject any or all bids or any one or all items of such
bids, waive any irregularities, to increase or decrease quantities,
and to be the sole judge of the Contractor's capabilities to perform
the Work, suitability of the materials and/or services offered and
the merit of such to meet the needs of the District.
