Barry Chin is a graduate of the College of Environmental Design at the University of California, Berkeley in Architecture. He is a licensed architect and the former principal of two design firms. He is the co-author of a series of successful professional practice books including Licensed Architect: Building Design examination Primer and the Building Design Vignette Primer. He has also conducted professional practice seminars in Chicago, Boston, New York, Houston, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Honolulu. Prior to joining the San Mateo Community College District, Barry was with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) where his roles included Senior Architect, Assistant to the Director, and Project Manager. His credits there include programming, conceptual planning, and project management of many of UCSF’s buildings at their new biotechnology campus, UCSF Mission Bay.
