PESTICIDE NOTIFICATION
The San Mateo County Community College District is comprised of 416 developed and undeveloped acres of land among 3 campuses: Cañada College, College of San Mateo, and Skyline College. As part of the grounds maintenance program, some pesticides are applied at our campuses. The Facilities Department is committed to using the least toxic pest management practices as the preferred method of managing pests at our sites.
All pesticide use is subject to regulation by the United States Environmental Protection Agency pursuant to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (7 U.S.C. Sec. 136 et seq.). We maintain records of all pesticide use for a period of four years, and we make this information available to the public, upon request, pursuant to the California Public Records Act (Chapter 3.5 (commencing with Section
6250) of Division 7 of Title 1 of the Government Code).
