In compliance with new Bay Area Air Quality Management District initiatives monitoring air pollution emissions of nitrogen oxides, or NOx, and carbon monoxide, or CO, from commercial boilers San Mateo County Community College District is committed to meet or exceed current and proposed regulations.

The NoX Boiler Burner Replacement Project will reduce environmental impacts by lowering emissions, reduce operating costs and reduce energy use.

SMCCCD pre-qualified C-4 License contractors for 2011 may participate in a project specific supplemental qualification process to be eligible to bid on this phase of the project.

Non-prequalified C-4 Licence contractors must submit a full prequalification application which will permit them to bid on this project only, if they also successfully complete the supplemental qualification to bid.

Qualified C-4 license contractors will be announced in late April or early 2011. Invitations to bid the project are scheduled to be published in July 2011, award of a construction contract is anticipated August 2011.
