This project includes the demolition of eight buildings at the north end of the campus, the improvement of accessibility pathways, and safety improvements to the electrical system. The structures slated for demolition are Buildings 21 through 27 and Building 29. Located at the north end of the campus, these buildings are positioned in areas that presently have accessibility problems for the paths of travel from the north parking lots to the central campus core. Demolition of the buildings presents an opportunity to correct the accessibility deficiencies and provide more accessible paths of travel with exterior landscaping that matches the rest of the campus. The project includes the relocation of an underground electrical load center, which recently has experienced water infiltration problems. The load center will be relocated to an above-ground location, thereby eliminating this unsafe condition. The project also includes the relocation of an underground storm trap that will be impacted by the project. |
