District Shared Governance Council is composed of faculty, classified staff, administrators, and students from each campus. Click here for 2008-09 DSGC Members!

The Board of Trustees is committed to a shared governance system which ensures "faculty, staff and students the right to participate effectively in district and college governance and the opportunity to express their opinions at the [district] level and to ensure that these opinions are given every reasonable consideration, and the right of academic senates to assume primary responsibility for making recommendations in areas of curriculum and academic standards" (Education Code Section 70901).
