College Vista is an award-winning 44-unit rental housing development for faculty and staff, which offers a first-class living environment with rents at half the market average. College Vista is a craftsman-inspired, two and three-story complex with stunning views of the Bay and south San Mateo County that was built on a 2 acre unused college parking lot. Units at College Vista are tastefully appointed, including wood entry floors, large windows and sliding glass doors, patios and decks and individual washers/dryers. Most units have a private garage. College Vista opened in December 2005 and has been fully occupied since its opening. There are more than 80 employees on the wait list for the College Vista development.

The District is currently exploring the possibility of building a second housing community for faculty and staff—this time on an underutilized parking lot at Cañada College. As part of the planning for this development, the District will seek to de-annex portions of the Parking Lot from Woodside, so that the development can occur within one jurisdiction—Redwood City. The proposed plan includes 60 units in two buildings of two and three stories each. The plan calls for 30% of the units to be one bedroom; 60% to be two bedrooms and the remaining six units will be three bedrooms (see Final Site Plan below). There are links below to additional information about the project. This site will be updated regularly.
