Anthropology Scholarship

Congratulations to the 2003 Frances Emma Wagner Anthropology Scholarship scholarship recipients Genevieve Lam and Diana Acuna!!

The Frances Emma Wagner Anthropology Scholarship will be available each spring to two qualified applicants and, are selected by the Scholarship Committee.
Each winner will receive $100 toward future academic expenses.

Criteria required for the award:
Each applicant must have earned a “C” or better in an Anthropology course at Skyline College.
Students who are currently enrolled in their first anthropology course at the time of the application deadline, may submit a progress report from their instructor.

Anthropology Club

Each semester the Anthropology Club (an ASSC organization) sponsors events on campus related to the wide range of careers, study and research in anthropology. The Club has also co-sponsored a number of events with other campus organizations. Some of the past activities include:

Historic Archaeology in El Presidio de San Francisco
Activist Anthropology in Haiti

Phoebe Hearst Museum of Anthropology
Asian Art Museum
California Academy of Sciences
Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum


Meetings
are held from 12:15pm to 1:15pm in room 2309 the first Friday of every month. All interested folks are encouraged to attend—bring your lunch and any suggestions you may have for guest speakers, events or fieldtrips, etc!
