Report from College Council on the Charge of the Committee
The Skyline College Council approved the proposal by EEOAC to look at all diversity issues on campus, draft a new "charge" of the committee, and develop a new committee name. The council would like to see EEOAC better organized to support the efforts of campus groups working on issues of diversity and would like EEOAC to develop the recommendation for review by College Council.
Discussion of Committees Charge, Name and Membership
Vicki Morrow lead a discussion of what the colleges diversity issues are and which groups and organizations are working on those issues, in order to create a foundation for a new mission statement and a new name. She noted that some of the diversity issues may be connected to this committee and some are not. The committee developed the following list:

** California Tomorrow is a foundation funded nonprofit that is bringing together colleges for training in the Campus Change Network. A team from Skyline, which includes the vice-president of the Academic Senate, a second faculty member (representing vocational studies), a counselor, a student, an administrator, and a board member, is currently in training. They will bring back their knowledge and their work will be closely connected to EEOAC projects.
