Inaugural induction into the Transfer Student Hall of Fame:  It was quite an event Monday night when our first “Skyline Stars” were inducted into our new Transfer Student Hall of Fame.  Thanks to Linda Rosa Corazon for the brainstorm that led to this event, and to the President’s Council which provided the resources for it through the President’s Innovation Fund.  Thanks also to the faculty and staff whose support helped these individuals to succeed at Skyline and prepared them for their bright futures.  Here is the first group of inductees:

Donald “Smitty” Smith departs Skyline:  Please join me in wishing the best to Smitty, our Dean of Instructional Resources and Technology.  He will be leaving Skyline on March 18 to pursue some career opportunities of interest to him.  Smitty will be missed at Skyline College.  We expect to see him back here for a visit soon, at which time there will be a farewell reception in his honor.  In the meantime, we are working out the details concerning how the components of his assignment will be addressed following his departure.  I will let you know about that soon.
