Vision:
When I look into nature something looks back at me. That something is the subject of my work.

Technique and materials:
I paint with egg tempera (egg yolk mixed with water and pigment) because it's so 'hands-on', and creates opportunities to explore the intrinsic qualities of natural earths, minerals, and metal leaf in my nature paintings.

Working process:
Complex layers of paint that suggest primal form and woven patterning, juxtaposed with areas of densely pigmented texture suggestive of pre-Big Bang chaos.

Painting issues:
Silence, Stillness, Creating a space for reverie.
