The Skyline College Child Development Center (CDC) provides a comprehensive child development program, open to children of students, faculty and staff of the San Mateo Community College District, Skyline, CSM and Cañada colleges; services are available for eligible children ages 2.5 - 5.9 years of age.  Children attend one of two classrooms- either the Caterpillar or Butterfly room- and are assigned by age.  .
The CDC is fully staffed by trained professional ECE teachers who are assisted by student teachers, work-study students, and parent volunteers.  It is also used by faculty of various disciplines for child observation, environmental and curriculum instruction, and teaching skills development. The CDC is licensed by the Department of Social Services, License #41400216, and is funded through the California Department of Education and parent fees. Low-income students may be eligible for subsidy by the California Department of Education, and fees are based on a sliding scale. For further information, call  the CDC (650) 738-7070, Director Judy Heldberg (650) 738-7071, or go to: http://www.skylinecollege.edu/facstaff/resources/childcare.html
