Present:  Linda Allen, Linda Herda, Linda Kisich, Nancy Lam, Adolfo Leiva, Mandy Liang.

1.  Welcome by President, Linda Allen

2.  TreasurerÕs Report – In Theresa TentesÕ absence, Linda Allen reported that our November balance was $3290.71.

3.  Avon Fundraiser brought in $610.00.  Thanks much to Tiffany Reardon for coordinating this event and for donating her profits to Classified Council.

4.  SeeÕs Candy Fundraiser – After discussion it was decided that we will not participate in the ValentineÕs Day SeeÕs Candy fundraising event this year.  Instead we will plan ahead and do a spring theme basket raffle.  Linda Herda will check with Kevin Chak in the Bookstore to see what kind of pricing he could give us if we bought 3 I-Pods to include in the baskets.  She will also ask at A & R if there is someone there would be willing to coordinate the ticket sales for this event.  And she will contact Donna Elliott about doing some flyers for this event and Shelly Hausman in the PI office to have her put out an announcement including a color picture of the baskets.  Linda will report back at the February 1st meeting with a timeline for this fundraiser.

5.  The District sent out a recent email about the District wide Classified Staff Retreat this year.  More info will come out soon so if you are interested watch for this upcoming info and registration form.

6.  Common Ground (diversity training) – Donna Elliott was out ill so this agenda item has been postponed until our next meeting.

7.  Review Revisions of College Vision and Mission Statement – Everyone thought the statements were concise and comprehensive.  They were short and to-the-point.

8.  Classified Staff Retreat for Skyline only is on the drawing board.  Linda Allen will set up an Executive Board meeting soon to discuss this event and get plans started.

9.  +/- Grading – A Memo from Nick Kapp was distributed concerning +/- grading.  Pros and cons brought up for discussion.  We would like to see some more info on this subject.  Hopefully there will be a campus-wide forum and/or student survey to ask for input on this.

10.  Our next meeting will be Thursday, February 1, 2007, 2-3PM in room 5131.  A rep from the cafeteria will invited to attend to listen to our concerns, complaints and feedback on their service.  Also the new Chief of Security will be invited to attend this meeting.

Respectfully submitted,

Linda Herda, Vice President
