performances of the play ÒHorizon LineÓ being presented on campus on November 5
& 6.
Technology Ð Anyta Archer explained that the problems we were
all experiencing recently with our computers were caused by a virus that
attacked the Skyline network. Repairs are in progress. Meanwhile computer techs
are backed up with repair orders, please be patient.
Other
The dirt pile next to
building 1 at the foot of the stairs to building 8 and the reoccurring elevator
outages in Building 2 should be brought up at the next Health and Safety
Committee meeting. It was suggested that maybe the Skyline View could run an ongoing column concerning issues of repair here on
campus, similar to the SF Chronicle column called Chronicle Watch.
Nick Kapp from Academic
Senate now has a discussion board set up connected to their website. This
allows questions to be posted with a threaded conversation to be held with a
moderator. Does Classified Staff want to do this also? Discussion followed.
Anyta Archer let us know that the CTL offers a workshop on this feature. If
there is anyone interested in owning, maintaining and monitoring such a site
please contact Phyllis or Anyta.
