Education and Experience
Read about my education, experience,
and research
According to Sen,"But
the idea that I should be a teacher and a researcher of some sort did not vary
over the years." My work in education has lead me to the analysis and
investigation on the correlation between education gender issues, social
justice and equity, language acquisition, development, globalization, and
technology.
My experience includes work as the Bay
Area Network Coordinator , Professor of ESL/English, ESL
Department Coordinator, and Center
of Innovation and Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CIETL)
Coordinator at Caņada College. For the past three years, I have facilitated
trainings as the Bay Area Network Coordinator. I have also worked as a
consultant with the Higher
Education Commission of Pakistan to incorporate technology in
English Language Learning in Higher Education nationwide.
I have taught English and ESL at Caņada College, DeAnza College, Stanford
University, LUMS
University (Pakistan). I have also taught Area Studies and
International Education at University
of San Francisco.
My research through Scholar
of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) focused on the success of ESL
students. My dissertation focused on the impact of technology on the women in
Higher Education in Pakistan.
