Final Project for ESOL 830: Write a newspaper article which is a summary of three articles from the past year that you have read in newspapers.

Research: One of the articles must be clipped out of a major daily newspaper that you have read. Another must be printed out from Skyline's library webpage. I recommend using the InfoTrac Newspapers resource under Newspaper and News Databases. The source of the third article can be any major newspaper or News For You.

Summary Article: Write a one page summary of the articles. The first paragraph should introduce the topic and state the main idea, the topic and your general opinion. In the folowing three or more paragraphs, the news story should be followed in time order, and newspaper sources chould be cited as in the example linked to below. The final paragraph should state the sitauation at the time of your writing and you may speculate possible changes in the future.

Clip Art: If possible, try to include a clip art which you have chosen from MicroSoft Word's Clip Art files, search for the insert picture command.
