ROUNDHOUSE PUNCH TO THE HEAD Defender: Step
forward with left upper block. In a single continuous
motion, circle arm to tuck attacker's arm under your
armpit. Exert upward pressure with your left hand on
attacker's elbow. Right elbow strike to chest. Right palm
blow to chin. Grab collar and step behind attacker with
right foot, drop hips and throw. Follow up with punch to
face. Defender: Step
forward, left cat-stance, block punch with left hand
chicken-head wrist. Without pause, rake attacker's eyes
with downward left hand eagle claw. Without pause, turn
palm up and slash attacker's eyes with tips of fingers in
spear hand position. Without pause, grab attacker's
punching hand at the wrist with your left hand. Right
palm blow to chin, grab collar, step through with right
foot, drop hips and throw. Follow up with appropriate
attack. 3.) STRAIGHT PUNCH
TO FACE #2 Defender: Step
forward at 45 degree angle with left foot to left front
stance, right hand circular sword hand block. Without
pause, extend right hand into attacker's face and
continue to pivot on left foot to move behind attacker.
With both hands, rip attacker's eyes from behind.
(Alternatively, one could grab the hair and deliver a
knee strike to the small of the back.) 4.) STRAIGHT PUNCH
TO FACE #3 Defender: Step
forward with right foot into right cat stance, double
vertical sword hand block. Rip eyes with tips of right
fingers in spear hand block. Without pause, deliver palm
blow to chin with right hand. At the same time maintain
control of attacker's hand with your left hand, by
grabbing wrist. Move right hand back to join left hand
and apply wrist lock by placing both thumbs on the BACK
of attacker's hand, gripping palm with fingers of both
hands. Step back with right foot and with a large
circular motion, bring attacker's arm up, over and down
in a clockwise motion. Deliver right front kick to
attacker's chest (attacker should be bending over due to
wrist lock). Place right foot down and step in with left
foot to horse stance. Break opponent's elbow with strike
slightly above the joint. Defender: Protect
face from punch with right hand. Place left foot behind
opponent. With right heel, kick attacker's right kneecap
and without pause, stomp down on the instep. Placing left
hand on attacker's butt, deliver a sword hand strike to
groin with right hand. Reach over and around with left
hand to place index finger at the point where attacker's
upper lip and nose meet. Exert upward and backward
pressure to unbalance opponent and throw to ground.
Follow up with appropriate attack. 6.) HEADLOCK
#2 Defender: Protect
face from punch with right hand. Place left foot behind
opponent. With right heel, kick attacker's right kneecap
and without pause, stomp down on the instep. Placing left
hand on attacker's butt, deliver a sword hand strike to
groin with right hand. Bring left arm under and around to
place across attacker's chest under arms. Squat low so
your hips are lower than opponent's. Twist hips to the
left to unbalance and throw. Follow up with appropriate
attack. Defender: React
immediately! Finger jab with left hand to attacker's
throat. (Alternately attack eyes, ears, solarplex or
groin.) With right hand reach up between attacker's arms
to place thumb on pressure point between attacker's thumb
and index finger. Grab palm with fingers. Turn attacker's
wrist over and apply double-handed wrist lock while
stepping back with left foot. Deliver left front kick and
without pause, step forward with left foot into horse
stance. Break attacker's elbow with sword hand strike to
joint. Defender: React
immediately! Roll shoulders forward by turning palms
outward. Slide hips to side and deliver sword hand strike
to groin. Step behind attacker with left foot. Grasp
attacker's left wrist with your right hand. Extend left
arm to left under armpit. Drop hips, twist and throw
Maintain control of attacker's left arm and follow up
with appropriate attack. 9.) REAR BEARHUG
#2 Defender: React
immediately! Roll shoulders forward by turning palms
outward. With left heel kick attacker's kneecap and
without pause, stomp on instep. Shift hips to side and
chop to groin. Attacker should respond by bending
forward. Use this opportunity to smash the back of your
head into his face. If attacker persists in holding on,
grab his right hand with your left hand by placing thumb
on pressure point between attacker's thumb and
forefinger, grasp palm with fingers. Lift off attacker's
arm by twisting his palm while sliding out and under to
the right. Maintain control of attacker's hand and apply
wrist lock. Throw opponent by swinging his arm like a
baseball bat, do not let go until the last moment. Call
911 to order ambulance for attacker. Defender: Grasp
attacker's wrist with your right hand. Step forward with
right foot into horse stance. With left hand deliver
strike to groin, elbow strike to opponent's elbow and
backknuckle to face in rapid succession. Pivot clockwise
on left foot, 360 degrees, while bringing opponent's arm
over and around your head into an armbar. Apply pressure
to elbow joint and/or break.
