Get a jump start on your homework
Updated 6/18/2009
All homework and quizzes will be completed in MyMathLab at http://www.coursecompass.com.
You can purchase access either in the bookstore, or if you have a credit card, you can sign up online. You will need the information on the sheets below to get signed into the appropriate course. Make sure you pick the right one!
For students with MyMathLab access to the Lehmann text from the previous semester, log into your existing account and click on "Enroll in Another Course". Enter the Course ID from the "Getting Started" sheet.
Each person must have his or her own account. In addition to enrolling in the course via WebSMART, you must also enroll in the appropriate MyMathLab course.
Once you are logged in, click the name of the course. The book and homework are available by clicking the buttons on the left hand side. You are free to get started with the homework. I will point out some important features and more at the orientation.
Please complete the online survey linked from the "Announcements" section in MyMathLab ASAP. I'd like to find out when you are available for tutor-led study groups so that I can schedule the study groups before the end of the first week. Thanks!
New orientation times!
Updated 6/17/2009
Due to the high enrollment, I need to split the orientation into two groups.
- Math 111 and 112: Meet from 4:10 - 5:00 pm in 17-207
- Math 110: Meet from 5:00 - 5:50 pm in 17-207.
So our orientation will still meet during the originally scheduled time slot, but it will be half as long! Please arrive on time and check this website on Friday morning (6/19). I will have some information posted that will allow you to get a jump start on the class before it officially begins on Monday.
Mark your calendars!

Class Information & Supply List
Updated 6/8/2009
Our mandatory orientation will be on Monday, June 22 from 4:10 to 5:50 pm. For those of you who want to get a head start on your shopping, I've listed the required supplies below. Please purchase a MyMathLab access code by the first day of class! The first homework assignment is due Thursday, 6/25.
- Access code for MyMathLab available from the Cañada College Bookstore or online at Course Compass. All work will be done and submitted online via MyMathLab. The entire textbook is available online within MyMathLab. For those of you who want a hard copy of the text, you may buy or rent one from the bookstore.
For those of you who wish to buy a MyMathLab access code before 6/18, please buy it from the bookstore. To buy online from Course Compass, you need a separate course ID that I have not finished setting up yet.
Check your SMCCD email accounts next week for those course codes and additional information.
- A TI-83 or TI-84 (not TI-89) graphing calculator. These are available for rent and sale in the bookstore. You will also be using this calculator in Math 120 and 200.
