Director's choice - Create a video documentary

This option is available for individuals or for groups of up to 3

Overview

Have you ever wished you could create a segment for TLC, Discovery, or Nova? Here is your film-making debut! Your objective in this choice is to teach your viewers the medical science of your topic through a documentary. Your documentary may include excerpts from medical professionals speaking about your topic but they cannot comprise the majority of the presentation. The film must demonstrate what YOU have learned. It should include either your presence, or narrative voice, teaching/explaining the topic. Produce a short 15-20 minute documentary or animated video. Record on VHS cassette; any other format must be preapproved by the instructor. Videotapes must have a label securely attached with the student's name and project topic. In addition to your video you will turn in the following written components:

The Abstract
An abstract is a 300-500 word summary of the major points of your video presentation. A reader should be able to "get" all the main points simply by reading the abstract.

The Definitions
Create a glossary list of technical terms with their definitions.

The Citations
Your "Literature Cited" or "References" section should be a numbered bibliography of the sources you used in your research. Each source listed must be cited somewhere within your novel. Follow the CBE format for references.
