About me

My Bachelor of Arts degree is in Comparative Literature and Dance from UC Santa Cruz. I completed my Master of Arts degree is in English, specialization in the teaching of composition, at San Francisco State University. Now I teach at Cabrillo, Skyline College, Stanford, and San Francisco State, plus I work in a bar because all that teaching still isn’t enough to pay my bills. I’m very busy and I know you all are too, which is probably one of the main reasons you signed up for an online class as opposed to a face-to-face one: your schedules are full! However, please note: although this class is indeed more flexible in terms of when you do your work, it is not in fact easier or less time consuming. Because regular class time activities are now compressed for the online medium, you will actually have to devote more time to the class outside, on your own, than you would a traditional one. Please be aware of this commitment
