S. Gray
I was born and raised in the Bay Area. While in high school and college I worked part time for a marketing research firm , for which I conducted surveys as well as assumed supervisory roles. In 1987, I received my Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, marketing concentration from CSU, Sacramento. I then, began working for Nordstrom as a salesperson. After my twin boys were born, I chose to stay home full time with my four boys. As my children were approaching school age, I decided to return to school myself to pursue a career in the health care field. After having my children, one of which has diabetes, the role the health care professionals played in our lives was so important and meaningful I felt "inspired" to have the same impact on others. I feel especially passionate about respiratory care, having a father who is asthmatic, and has been steroid dependent; and having lived through the suffering and fear asthma brings. My oldest son was recently diagnosed with activity-induced asthma making my pursuit of a career in respiratory care even more meaningful to me. In addition to raising my sons and attending school, I enjoy practicing Yoga twice a week, as well as running 23 miles a week. I also, enjoy reading fiction.
