B. Fastidio
My name is Bernadette Fastidio. I have been attending Skyline College to complete my academic requirements to enter into the physician assistant program at Foothill College.
I had learned about the respiratory therapy program through taking an anatomy class at Skyline College this summer. I felt respiratory therapy would be a good career for myself because of my personal experience living with asthma. I believe that I would benefit through this program by learning how to treat my own illness and I feel I would be more compassionate towards my patients knowing what it is like to be in pain and scared while in the hospital. This program is great because it is a fast course for those who want to be out on the work force right away and job placement is available. I chose respiratory therapy because it is an interesting fast paced job. I want to be a respiratory therapist so I can help those who are ill get better.
