I am currently adjunct faculty here at Skyline College in the Science, Math and Technology Division, as well as in the Physical Sciences department at the College of Marin (COM) in Kentfield, CA.

This term I am teaching two lecture courses plus an Honors section in Astronomy and two sections of Astronomy Laboratory here at Skyline College.  At COM I am teaching lecture and lab courses in General Physics and a Calculus Supplement for General Physics as well as a Lab course in Astronomy.

My most recent research was in collaboration with Dr. Pete Palmer of the SFSU Chemistry department. We were involved in the development and improvement of mass spectrometers for a wide variety of applications.

During 2007 Dr. Palmer and I were also involved as technical advisors under an EPA grant for a community coalition concerned with the environmental remediation of Hunters Point Naval Shipyard and former site of the Naval Radiological Defense Laboratory.

I have also previously been engaged in research as a Visiting Scientist at SRI International, as well as been adjunct faculty for the SFSU Physics and Astronomy department.

I have an eclectic variety of research interests, however my primary research interests are in the application of physics to environmental problems.
