NOTICE TO LANDSCAPING CONTRACTORS
CALLING FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby
given that The San Mateo County Community College District of San
Mateo County, California, acting through and by its Governing Board,
and hereafter referred to as the District, will receive sealed bids
for the award of the contract for Bid Number 86445, Cañada
Buildings 19-22 Landscaping. Each bid must conform and be responsive
to the contract documents and be submitted on a form furnished by
the District noting the bid number on the envelope. Bids shall be
submitted to Swinerton Management & Consulting, Program Manager
for the San Mateo County Community College District, at 1700 W.
Hillsdale Blvd, Building 6, San Mateo, California, 94402 no later
than Thursday August 7, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. No bidder may withdraw
his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the
opening of bids.
Procurement
of Bidding Documents: The District will NOT be a distribution
point for plans for this project. Bidders may obtain copies of bid
documents upon payment of a nonrefundable fee to BarkerBlue Digital
Imaging. Plans and specifications may be purchased from BarkerBlue
Digital Imaging via their website at http://www.barkerbluedigital.com.
Register to gain entry to the site, go to the public plan room,
and choose "Cañada Buildings 19-22 Landscaping."
From there you can view and order plan sets. You can also order
via e-mail at plotting@barkerblue.com, or via fax at 650.696.2199.

The Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and job walk is scheduled for Thursday,
July 31 at 1:00pm . Interested parties shall meet at Swinerton
Management & Consulting offices at Cañada College, Building
#19. Parties arriving later than 1:10pm shall not be permitted to
participate.
The Board of
Trustees of the District reserves the right to reject any or all
bids or any one of all items of such bids and to waive any irregularities.
Further, the District may increase or decrease quantities and is
the sole judge of the suitability of the materials and/or services
offered and will decide the merit of such to meet the needs of the
District.
