The Construction Planning Department of San Mateo County Community College District has issued an RFP for the Cañada College North Quad Water Feature Renovation Project. This redesigned water feature will include natural granite and rock elements with new recessed seat wall lights and up-lighting for the existing olive trees. The renovation of this existing water feature and lighting upgrade in the adjacent planter boxes will complete the upper quad area renovation and complement the improvements in the lower quad area.
Cañada College has undergone a dramatic transformation since the adoption of the 2001 Facilities Master Plan. The renovation of the lower and upper quad areas and the construction of the new Library/Student Resource Center have given the campus a more updated look and created a comfortable, attractive central outdoor area for the students and staff. Completion of this fountain water feature and improved lighting in the planters will further enhance the campus’ central core.
