Subject: Construction Notice - Ground Drilling

As we move forward with planning and design for CIP2 projects, there will be drilling in four areas on campus needed in order to provide soils and sub-strata information for design of our new buildings, parking lots, and roadways.

The four areas on campus where drilling will take place are :

a. Grass area next to Building 9 & 10 (for new Auto Transmission building)

b. Grass area behind Building 5 (for new Cosmetology/Wellness building)

c. Pavement area in parking lots near Loma Chica (for new Multicultural building)

d. Pavement area in parking lots behind Pacific Heights (for expanded parking lots and new Loop Road)

A truck-mounted drilling rig will be used to collect samples. The immediate area around the boring points will be delineated with barricades and could be noisy for limited periods of time. 

Drilling operations will occur on Monday and Tuesday, January 29 and 30.
