Building 17 will be closed fron Friday December 8th at 3pm through Tuesday, January 16 at 7am. An asbestos abatement contractor will remove asbestos flooring in all Building 17 classrooms beginning on December 8th at 3pm and classroom renovation will begin immediately thereafter. |

Note: Work will be performed by a qualified contractor, Sterling Environmental Services, who is certified by the California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (CAL-OSHA) in the safe containment and removal of asbestos-containing materials. All work areas will be sealed off and monitored. An independent certified asbestos inspector, hired by the District, will monitor the entire work process, to oversee and insure the safety and health regulations and codes are followed, and to test and certify that the air is free and clear.
