Subject: Construction Notice - Traffic Delays Along Northwest Section of Loop Road

Hello everybody – you can’t help but notice how nicely the construction of our new Building 6 (Student Support and Community Services Center) and Building 7A (Science Annex) are progressing.  We are at a period in the construction phase of Building 7A when large crane operations will be needed to install the exterior wall panels.  This large crane will need to park on the Loop Road near our old bus stops (entrance to Loma Chica School).

Starting Monday, March 13 thru Tuesday, March 21  –  there will be traffic delays on the  Loop Road at the entrance to Loma Chica School and our Visitor’s Lot.   The Loop Road in that vicinity will be reduced to one lane.

Please open the attached file that shows a campus map if my description is confusing to you.

Our Swinerton Team and Hensel Phelps Construction will make sure traffic control and safety measures are in place along that section of the Loop Road during the period of this work.  Zak Conway (our Swinerton Project Engineer at x7042) is managing this project.

Please allow yourself some extra time if you navigate your way to campus via the Sharp Park Boulevard entrance to campus and turn left at the T-intersection to go to Loma Chica School or our Visitor’s Lot (Lot 7).
