Subject: Construction Notice - Closure of Loop Road vic South End of Track

The roadway repairs to the Loop Road where we temporarily placed steel plates (between the Track and Parking Lot 4) are progressing nicely and the weather appears to be cooperating with us.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 10  – the section of the Loop Road they have been working on will be closed so they can start layering new pavement onto that section.  This closure will be for one day only, January 10.

Please open the attached file that shows a campus map, the section of the Loop Road that will be closed to traffic, and delineates alternate routes to the south side of campus if you navigate to/from campus via the College Drive/Skyline Boulevard/Hwy 35 entrance.

The section of the Loop Road that we usually keep closed near Building 5 with the two swing gates across the road will be open tomorrow to allow traffic to navigate around the campus.

Swinerton and the construction contractor, Interstate Paving and Grading, will make sure signage and flag-people are posted to alert vehicles of the road closure and detour routes.

Please allow yourself some extra time if you navigate your way to and from campus via the Marisol housing development area.

Thanks – please be safe and careful.
