Subject: Construction Notice - Loop Road Pavement Repairs

Hi everyone and a Happy 2006 !

In spite of the wet weather, we are moving forward with making repairs to the Loop Road where we temporarily placed steel plates (between the Track and Parking Lot 4).  That section of the Loop Road is quickly deteriorating more and more with each passing day and is creating real hazards to vehicular traffic.

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, January 4 and lasting through January 20 – there will only be single-one-way traffic through the section of the Loop Road between the south end Track and Parking Lot 4.

This single-one-way-traffic means Interstate Paving and Construction, the contractor for this paving improvement project, will have flag-people and other traffic control measure in place that will alternate traffic through that section of the Loop Road.

Please allow yourself some extra time if you navigate your way to and from campus along the southern perimeter of the Loop Road, as you will have to ‘wait your turn’ to proceed through this construction area on the Loop Road.
