Subject: Construction Notice - Drainage Improvement, Walkway Construciton, and Paving Projects

                                   

Hello everyone – there are some construction projects that we are going to try and accomplish before year’s end and the start of Spring Semester.

Please see the attached campus map, as I believe it will provide clarity to what I’m going to describe here –

A.  Drain Improvements – Student Lot 5   December 5 – December 12     There are some drain improvements to be done north of the expanded Lot 5.  30 student parking spaces will be temporarily lost during this work in the landscape area.

B.  Drain Improvements – Loop Road   December 5 – December 12       There is a drain that needs improvement at the T-intersection of the Loop Road and College Drive (by Marisol).  The drain that needs repair is in the Loop Road and close to the ‘grave marker’ Skyline monument sign.  Expect traffic delays if you enter campus via College Drive in front of the Marisol development.

C.  Staging Area – Parcel B    December 12 – January 13      There will be construction trucks hauling materials into and out of Parcel B.  This area will also be a construction staging area for the Loop Road pavement improvements where the steel plates are now sitting on the Loop Road (between Lot 4 and the Track).  More details on this project will be provided in subsequent Construction Notices.  

D.  Disabled Parking Spaces – Staff Lot 6     December 12 to December 23      We will be constructing 6 disabled spaces at the southeast corner of Lot 6.  Included in this project will be a lighted pathway behind (east) Building 5 from those disabled spaces the Building 5 – Bookstore corner.  20 staff parking spaces in the area of construction (southeast corner of Lot 6) will be temporarily lost for construction container and equipment staging.

Please be careful during all of this construction.   Sajid Sulaiman, ext 7022, is our Swinerton go-to-person for all of these projects.
