Subject: Construction Notice - Roofing Work on Building 1

Hi everyone – before we get too far into the rainy season – we are going to attempt to get the roofing work on Building 1 completed. To that end, work will again begin tomorrow, Wednesday, November 9 and last until December 17.
This will mean –
Building 1 entrance ways will remain open throughout the duration of this project, to include the pedestrian and vehicular pathways between Building 1 and Building 8. All of the roof demolition work is scheduled from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. in efforts to minimize the disruption to campus activities.
3rd Floor Building 1 users and occupants are requested to keep their windows closed, especially in Rooms 1304 and 1306, as much as possible during these roofing activities.
Our Swinerton Team will be posting notices and interior and exterior signs to inform everyone, and to control and direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Sajid Sulaiman is our Swinerton Team project lead and he can be reached at ext 7022 or sulaimans@smccd.net if you have questions or concerns.
I apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience. I want to also thank those of you who attended yesterday’s Student Support and
