Subject: Construction Notice - Steel Beam Delivery - Building 6

Hi everybody – the day has finally come and will soon be upon us – steel beam delivery for our new Building 6 - Student Support and Community Services Center.

Beginning next Monday, October 17, and lasting through the week -  large steel beams will be arriving, which will signify the start of the vertical construction phases of the project.

Trucks will be delivering the steel beams via the Sharp Park entrance to campus and spotting the beams and girders within the Building 6 construction site . . . please be careful as you enter and exit the campus from that direction.

Then on November 7, there will be a “Topping Off” Ceremony, where everyone will have an opportunity to autograph the last steel beam before it is set in place for Building 6.  Stay tuned for announcements regarding this momentous occasion for the campus from either Vicki or Sandy’s office.  Later in November or early December, a similar ceremony will take place for our new Building 7, Science Annex.
