Subject: Construction Notice - Exterior Paining - Portable Classrooms 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D, & 3E

Hi everyone – at long last – with the nice weather we’ve been enjoying, an opportunity presents itself to paint the exteriors of our five portable classrooms next to Building 3.
Portables 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D, and 3E will be pressure washed, and then painted, beginning Tuesday, September 27 thru Friday, October 7.
You may be wondering why it will take two weeks to paint five little portable buildings. The prevailing weather conditions will dictate the progress of the work . . . as it’s not prudent to paint when we have the ‘liquid sunshine’ we experience so often here nor windy conditions.
If you are faculty and staff who like to park their vehicles near the portable classrooms or in the dirt lot north of Building 3 - - - please PARK AT THE OTHER END OF THE DIRT LOT closest to the DSPS storage container (north end). The occasional paint overspray may speckle your vehicle if you are parked too close to the portable classrooms.
Bayview Painting has been notified of the class scheduled for all the portable classrooms by Swinerton and they will only work on a portable building when no classes are scheduled or due to be imminently occupied.
I apologize for the inconvenience this painting project will impose on some of you, but the resultant ‘new look’ of our portable classrooms will be refreshing. Stay tuned . . . as we hope to soon be replacing all the ramps to the portable classrooms (3A to 3E), to include the ramps at the
