Subject: Construction Notice - Building 8 Interior Demolition

                                                  

Hi everyone – John Plane Construction (the contractors for our Building 8 Seismic Retrofit and Modernization Project) is ready to get the demolition underway inside Building 8. 

Beginning Monday, August 29, demolition inside Building 8 will be getting started.

This means the noise levels will definitely be loud and disruptive at times to those of you conducting classes in Building 7 and in the Automotive areas of Building 8.

John Plane Construction will be erecting sound-deafening barrier walls in the hallways between Buildings 8 and 7 – but the jack-hammering in the solid concrete-in-nature Building 8 will send noise reverberating through the entire Building 8 and 7 structure. 

I apologize for this temporary disruption – which will last off-and-on through the entire Fall Semester.
