This document includes requirements that clarify or supersede portions of the Request for Proposal. This Addendum is a Contract Document.
General
The following changes, additions and deletions shall be made to the following document(s); all other
conditions shall remain the same.
I. SECTIONs 00100 (Advertisement for bids) and 00200 (instructions to bidders)
The Bid Date has been extended to Tuesday, June 28, 2005, as the new bid due date. Bids are to be submitted no later than 2:00pm. The following Sections have been updated to reflect this change:
1. Paragraph 5, Section 00100 (Advertisement for Bids)
“Bids due: Sealed Bids will be received by Swinerton Management & Consulting at their office located at 1700 W. Hillsdale Blvd., Building 6, San Mateo, CA 94402 no later than 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2005. Main contact for this project is Paula Reyes-Garcia, telephone 650-378-7373, facsimile 650-378-7333, and email: reyesgarciap@smccd.net.”
2. Paragraph 1, Section 00200 (Instructions to Bidders)
“RECEIPT OF BIDS. Sealed Bids will be received by Swinerton Management & Consulting for the District at their office (see paragraph 2 below) no later than 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, June 28, 2005…”
II. SECTION 00400 (Bid form)
In response to feedback from the bidders, the District has revised the format of the Bid Form. Pricing is now called out per various window sizes. See the attached Section 00400 (Bid Form) for the updates.
III. SECTIONS 00411 (BOND ACCOMPANYING BID), 00610 (CONSTRUCTION PERFORMANCE BOND) AND 00620 (CONSTRUCTION LABOR AND MATERIAL PAYMENT BOND)
After careful consideration, the District has waived the specified bond requirements for this contract. Therefore, Sections 00411(Bond Accompanying Bid), 00610 (Construction Performance Bond) and 00620(Construction Labor and Material Payment Bond) are stricken in their entirety.
As a result, the following sections have been updated to reflect this change in bonding requirements.
1. Section 00200 (Instructions to Bidders), paragraph 6.
This paragraph is changed as follows: Section 00411 (Bond Accompanying Bid) is no longer included in the required bid documents.
2. Section 00200 (Instructions to Bidders), paragraphs 23.A2, 23.A3, 23.B and 24.
These paragraphs are stricken in their entirety.
3. Section 00400 (Bid Form), paragraph 11.
This paragraph has been stricken in its entirety.
