Subject: Construction Notice - Floor Tile Removal - Various Rooms in Building 1

Hello everyone –  this notice is tied to the one I sent out yesterday, as it involves floor tile removal in Building 1.  Due to the hazardous material nature of the floor tile, the contractors (Bayview Construction) will be completely sealing off the rooms that require work.  The nine rooms in Building 1 (1st and 3rd floors only) that will have abatement work conducted are:

No Room Access – Monday, June 6 thru Friday, June 10

1.      1st Floor  -  Room 1124  (hallway in front of the room will be open)

2.      3rd Floor  -  Room 1319  (hallway in front of the room will be open)

3.      3rd Floor  -  Room 1320  (hallway in front of the room will be open)

No Room Access – Monday, June 6 thru Tuesday, June 14

4.      1st Floor  -  Room 1105  (hallway to the room will be closed)

5.      1st Floor  -  Room 1107  (hallway to the room will be closed)

6.      1st Floor  -  Room 1111  (hallway to the room will be closed)

7.      3rd Floor  -  Room 1303  (hallway in front of the room will be open)

8.      3rd Floor  -  Room 1304  (hallway in front of the room will be open)

9.      3rd Floor  -  Room 1306  (hallway in front of the room will be open)

Donna Bestock and her staff have been very proactive and already posted some signage – thank you; our Swinerton Team will be placing more signs and making sure navigational arrows provide wayfinding around the rooms under abatement operations.

During these hazardous materials abatement operations, please be assured there will be no health or safety dangers to anyone in Building 1 during the periods of this work.  All rooms and areas of abatement will be closed off, contained with a negative air pressure double barrier, and closely regulated and monitored.  All work will be done under strict EPA and OSHA guidelines by a certified and licensed contractor.  All stages of the work will be monitored and closely inspected by a certified asbestos removal consultant.  The air inside and outside the containment areas will be monitored and tested throughout the work.  Final air clearance testing will be completed prior to removal of the containment barriers.

Please be careful when navigating through Building 1 – particularly the 1st and 3rd floors - this room work added to the hallway abatement on the 1st floor dictates extreme caution as you conduct your business in Building 1.  Take care -
