Each bid must conform to and be responsive to the contract documents and be submitted on a form furnished by the District. Bids can only be submitted by those License B contractors who have been pre-qualified for Projects up to a minimum of $1,000,000 in value as reflected on the District’s website:

Description of the work. The Work is the interior renovations of an existing single story wood frame structure and is described on the contract documents. The general scope of work includes: resilient flooring, carpeting, countertops/cabinets, hardware, drywall repairs, kitchen/laundry appliances, electrical/data, plumbing, and painting. The Bidding documents contain the full description of the Work.
Bids due: Sealed Bids will be received by Swinerton Management & Consulting at their office located at the
Prevailing Wage: The successful bidder shall be required to pay its workers on this project a sum not less than the general prevailing wage rate of per diem wages and not less than the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work for work of a similar character in the locality in which the project is performed as provided under California Labor Code section 1770 et sec. The District has determined the prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holidays and overtime work in the locality in which this project is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of work needed to execute the work. Contractor shall be required to post, at each job site, a copy of such prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations.
SUBSTITUTION OF SECURITIES. District will permit successful Bidder to substitute securities for retention monies withheld to ensure performance of Contract, as set forth in Document 00680 (Escrow Agreement for Security Deposits in Lieu of Retention), in accordance with California Public Contract Code, Section 22300. By this reference, Document 00680 (Escrow Agreement for Security Deposits in Lieu of Retention) is incorporated in full in this Document 00100.
RESTRICTIONS ON SUBSTITUTIONS AND SOLE SOURCE ITEMS. As a limitation on Bidder's privilege to substitute “or equal” items, District has found that certain items are designated as District standards and certain items are designated to match existing items in use on a particular public improvement either completed or in the course of completion or are available from one source. As to such items, District will not permit substitution. Such items are described in the Bidding Documents.
Procurement of bidding documents: The District will not be a distribution point for plans. [Each pre-qualified contractor may obtain two complete sets of bid documents free of charge from Elite Reprographics.
