Subject: Construction Notice - No Heat or Hot Water - Buildings 5, 7, and 8 (Updated)
Hello everyone – it’s Richard ‘the Scrooge’ one last time for 2004 – it appears that the construction required to connect the improved underground hot water piping system to Buildings 5, 7, and 8 will be taking a little longer than expected. Preston Pipelines, our contractor for the project, will be working their crews diligently over the Holiday Season and Winter break to restore the hot water system as quickly as possible and before the Spring Semester gets underway.
The construction got started today, Wednesday, December 22 and will last through Friday, January 14. This means there will be NO HEAT or sink hot water during this entire period in Buildings 5, 7, and 8. Building 1 will also be without heat during this entire period due to an ongoing and different project (Zone Controls).
I apologize for the inconvenience this obviously poses for those of you coming back to work after the New Year’s
