| The theaters at Cañada College are an important revenue source. Both the Main Theater (550 seats) and the Flex Theater (35 -70 seats) are rented for events and performances, filling a community need. Both theaters were in great need of renovation. Neither facility was ADA compliant, nor up-to-date technologically. As of January 2004, the main theater opened to display its upgrades: updated paint and floor finishes, renovated seats, a restructured stage, and sate-of-the-art technology to invite a more diverse leasing clientele. As well, the Flex Theater was updated technologically, catwalks were renovated and a new retractable seating system was installed to offer flexibility. |
