Welcome to your newly constructed facilities! Best wishes for a smooth move-in, and we hope you’ll find your new classrooms, offices, mat room, locker rooms and break facilities to be a safe, effective and inspiring learning and working environment. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to create them for you!
The construction project team has ensured that this new facility is ready for occupancy. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your new work space, please use the process outlined below so that the project team can address these expediently.
Phones and Computers: Telephones are scheduled to be installed tomorrow, June 15th, by SMCCCD’s Information Technology Services staff. SBRPSC’s IT staff are scheduled to complete computer and network connections in the coming days. Once they’ve completed their connections, if you should discover a problem please notify Mike Celeste. If Mike ascertains that the problem is with network connectivity, he will place an ITS Service Request, available at http://www.smccd.edu/ITServicesForm/, or call the ITS Help Center at extension 6543.
Doors and Locks:
The new state of the art security system at CSM’s Building 35 Walter H. Moore Regional Public Safety Center has been designed to maximize security and convenience. The interior doors in this new facility operate using mechanical keys. The exterior doors have been outfitted with electronic locks that open automatically during operational hours, as follows:
Keys are being issued starting today! If you need a key and have not already requested one, please submit a standard Key Request Form, available at http://www.smccd.edu/accounts/facilities/maintoperation/Key_Request_Form_Districtwide.pdf, and you will be issued electronic and/or mechanical key(s) to the spaces within the building to which you have authorized access.
If you have any questions about doors and keys, please contact the Facilities HelpCenter at http://www.smccd.edu/accounts/facilities/, or call the Facilities HelpCenter at extension 6113. Please visit our FAQ about Physical Access Controls, available at http://www.smccd.edu/accounts/facilities/maintoperation/KeyFAQs.htm, for everything you ever wanted to know about keys at SMCCCD.
Temperature and Indoor Air Quality: The new state of the art digital controls system at CSM’s Building 35 Walter H. Moore Regional Public Safety Center has been designed to maximize occupant comfort and indoor air quality, as well as ensure energy efficiency. Furniture: The project team is aware of minor remedial issues concerning the furniture, and will communicate via Mike Celeste when those issues will be resolved.
Packing Boxes: Once you’ve unpacked your items, please flatten your empty packing boxes and place them for pick-up near your workspace. Mike Celeste will contact the project team when boxes are ready for removal.
Miscellaneous Requests: Once you’ve settled in, if you discover any issues with the facility or furniture or you need to place a request for additional items, please notify Mike Celeste. Requests can also be submitted via the Facilities HelpCenter at http://www.smccd.edu/accounts/facilities/.
