Dance Production

Dance Production is offered twice a year, with a low-tech concert in the Fall, and a full concert in the Spring. Spring concerts are generally sold out, with over 550 people in attendance. Each semester, we showcase all types of dances, such as Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Ballroom, Tap, and Ethnic Dances. All levels of students are welcome, from beginning to advanced, but all can look forward to a professional experience with lights, sound and costumes in Skyline College's Main Theater. Dances are choreographed by students, Skyline faculty, and guest artists from the Bay Area.

Students interested in backstage production can assist with lights, sound, designing, costumes, stage manger, crew, box office and ticket sales. Promotions and public relations experience can be gained through designing flyers, tickets and press releases. Teaching internships are available for assisting Bay Area professionals in elementary schools, high schools, and dance studios. Internships are also available with Bay Area arts organizations in program/office management.
