Sound
links that use a player console
Click on the
word to hear the sound. In Explorer, use the back button to return to
this page. In Netscape, close each Netscape player after listening to
the sound.

Steps:

Create a sound to link to a word in your text.

Place the sound in your media folder

Insert the sound into your web page

Link the sound to the text

Test your sound in the browser (Netscape)
1 Create a Sound
Find or create a sound using PowerPoint,
or any other sound creation application on your computer. (SimpleSound,
iMovie, etc)
2 Place the Image in Your
Media Folder
The folder will be called "img" in the
examples below.
3 Link the Sound
Select the text and then link the text to the sound file
in your "img" (or media) folder.
In Dreamweaver, use the Properties window. to insert the
link.
4 Test the sound on both Windows
and Macintosh platforms.
