Activities

On December 2, 2001, French Club and French classes
toured a special exhibit at the Palace of the Legion of Honor
in San Francisco.

The Palace is a slightly smaller version of
the Palais de la Légion d'Honneur in Paris.

Rodin's Thinker
Rodin's Thinker dominates the entry court of the Palace; Lincoln Park's setting includes a view of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Rodin's The Kiss

Rodin's The Kiss is also in the museum's collection. We were able to see many works in the museum before our guided tour of the special exhibit of artists' books.

illustrated book

In this special collection, we saw many fine, rare, and amazing books illustrated by artists from 1870 to the present. Many were French artists or artists who lived in France.

After our tour, we dined at Chapeau!
